Metro State basketball forward Jesse Wagstaff was named an ESPN The Magazine/College Sports Information Directors of America first team Academic All-American.

* Colorado College's Melanie Auguste has been selected as one of 10 finalists for the Jostens Trophy, which is presented by the Rotary Club of Salem, Va., to recognize the most outstanding men's and women's Division III basketball players of the year.

* Regis Jesuit High School graduate and CU-Colorado Springs freshman Steven Gomez was the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men's field athlete of the week.

Colorado Mines sophomore Kiera Benson was named the RMAC women's track athlete of the week, and Adams State junior Reuben Chebon-Mwei won the men's honor.
