Clapton, Winwood hit Denver June 21

For rock music fans (and historians) it'll likely be the show of the year. Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood have teamed up for a U.S. tour, including one night (and one night only) at the Pepsi Center on June 21. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $49.50 to $150 (Ticketmaster).

* RED ROCKS - Big Head Todd & the Monsters' annual June show is back, this time on June 6. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today, $37.50 to $59.50 (Ticketmaster).

* BOULDER THEATER - The Flatlanders (Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joe Ely and Butch Hancock) are back with a new album on March 31 and a show on May 16. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today via BoulderTheater.com only; phone and in-person tickets go on sale at 3 p.m.

* FILLMORE AUDITORIUM - Pennywise and Pepper are there on April 17, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $25 (LiveNation.com).

* PARAMOUNT THEATRE - Hot Tuna returns for a May 22 date, teamed up with the great Loudon Wainwright III. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $27.50 to $37.50 (TicketHorse.com).

RUMORS AND HEARSAY: Nine Inch Nails is going out with Jane's Addiction for a tour this summer; no dates yet. . . . Watch for David Byrne and DeVotchKa together at Red Rocks on June 20 . . . It's not just slow here; according to organizers of the San Francisco Blues Festival, they're canceling the 36-year-old fest because of the economic downturn.
