Only one crash victim still hospitalized

Another victim of the crash of Continental Flight 1404 was released from the hospital Monday, leaving one victim still hospitalized as crews prepare to move the hulk of the plane as early as New Year's Day from just off one of DIA's runways.

Thirty-eight people were injured in the crash at Denver International Airport on Dec. 20 when the pilot aborted takeoff and the plane veered off the left side of Runway 34R.

The final victim is reported in fair condition at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, while earlier in the day the other patient was released.

After the aborted takeoff, the Boeing 737 vaulted over a taxiway perpendicular to the runway, down an embankment and up over an airport access road before coming to rest 100 feet from an airport fire station.

Passengers fled as a fire spread on the right side of the plane.
