Nuggets reserve center Steven Hunter is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Friday and will be out indefinitely.
Hunter, traded from Philadelphia to Denver on Sept. 10, was expected to back up starter Marcus Camby but he has played a total of 19 minutes in four games.
“I feel like I ain’t even played yet,’’ Hunter said today. “I don’t really even feel like part of the team right now. I just want to get healthy and work hard and try to get some minutes and take it from there.’’
Hunter, 26, has experienced inflammation in his knee since training camp and said there are some “loose particles’’ that will be removed through surgery.
A timetable for his return will be set after the operation.
